I know a few people on here drag trucks like ours. i was wondering if thay have pics of it and what you have done to your truck and maybe your times. if anyone has a web site with one one it please let me know.

'Rat, it's basically a stock coil rear suspension. I have two inch lowering blocks fitted and a rear sway bar. That is for handling though. The coils I believe came off a 'burb and may be stiffer than a standard C10. The stock coil suspension is great for racing as there are no leafs to twist up and give you wheel hop. You need to see 67dragtruck 's set up. That's a cool truck.

It doesn't say anything on the hood. The hood has fasteners on it. It's a lift off fiberglass hood.

I have the factory trailing arms, just gusseted up a bit for strength, HAL/AVO coilovers, and an anti-roll bar.

I forgot that you asked for times earlier.

Big Block that I sold:

5.32 @ 131.6 mph 1/8 mile w/ a 1.25 60'

My current small block, very streetable:

5.93 @113 mph w/ a 1.29 60'

However, I have quit racing for now and taken all of the nitrous off of my truck. I'm hoping to change to a turbo or supercharged EFI combo but mainly for the street. I really don't think I want to race anymore. Kind of like crack cocaine for me so I need to stay away as much as I can.

This was at Brainerd up near Chattanooga TN. It ran a 5.97 on coil springs and regular shocks. It was still full weight, just a set of race seats.

im a 1/4 mile kinda guy, what does 5.32 @ 131 mph aproximate in the 1/4 mile, besides really fast?

67dragtruck: the pic with both wheels off the ground, did you shorten the rear axle to fit tires like that on your truck... if not what wheel and tire size is that?

Hmm all this talk makes me want to go race and get my truck done..... i want my wheels to come off the ground!

Here are a couple older pics of my street strip truck. I have recently put in new headlights plus new chrome bumbers and 28x12.5 mickey thompson sportsman pro tires. I have several more new parts for the truck. My best eighth mile et so far is 8.83@78.51 and my best quartermile time is 14.13@93.32 My best 60ft is 1.97!
