Recommend reliable mechanic in San Diego?
I have just bought a 70 Chevy C-10 all original and now need a reliable and experienced mechanic for the usual issues that accompanies older trucks like brakes, timing etc. Can anyone recommend their mechanic to handle my needs? Thanks,
Jeff |

Re: Recommend reliable mechanic in San Diego?
Hey Jeff,
I've tried a few but the best old car guy I've found is Scotty at Scott's Auto and Muffler, 1508 N. Coast Hwy 101 Leucadia CA. His shop always has a Mustang, 57 Chevy, old wagon...or something old being worked on. The mehcanics as well as Scotty are friendly and knowledgable, they brought my 69 c-10 back to life with tuning and complete rear brake rebuild. They take the time to talk to you about what's going on and have even tweaked little things right on the spot, no charge! I can't say enough about there service. Scotty even sponsors Ron Nava (RPM TV) he's the driver of the truck you see on Country Fried Videos on CMT rolling over on its roof during the race! He almost won the "here's your sign" award for that one! $10,000 spent trying to win $1500. Now that's funny stuff! PM me if you want to know more. Dave
