Re: would you sell?
I think I would sell, for the right price.
The thing is, there are a LOT of nice squares in this area. If someone were to offer the right amount, I'd sell. Then go out and find another one.

Re: would you sell?
Like others have said, I would sell my truck and purchase another one. Thus, the addiction doesn't have to end. I would probably find the same year/make/options, but hopefully score a truck that is solid in all the areas I hate repairing.

Re: would you sell?
depends on the offer. My truck is worth a lot to me, so it will probably never happen. Well, and least not until it gets me so mad I can't stand to see it anymore. This one has been my favorite by far, though. Most likely I will just keep fixing away, even on stuff that isn't broke (yet).

Re: would you sell?
I'd sell mine in a heartbeat if someone offered me what it was worth. There's always more out there.

Re: would you sell?
I have been offered some good money for mine but it has to much sentimental value. My first square and given to me by my father. It will never be for sell.

If its just a truck and you stand to make some $$ on it, sell away. You will rarely make a dime on selling a vehicle so anytime you can make a profit and you have another reliable vehicle, time to see it down the road.

Re: would you sell?
I'll sell anything for the right price. Life is a buffet. I've owned 68 motor vehicles in my life and I ain't planning to stop any time soon. The best one might be right around the corner!!

Re: would you sell?
I would be a lot more apt to sell if I was offered what I have in them more so than what they are worth.

Its not that its worth that much because its not, its that it would take that much to get my attention enough to consider selling.

Re: would you sell?
As Jay Leno once said .....I can't believe that this guy will give me this incredible car for a little piece of paper(a cheque)
But it depends on what else you need to buy. Although they made many square body trucks almost 40 years later many of them are unique. And as Frank noted you may end up buying the same truck back once you realize that. You cannot turn the clock back and a car/truck is only original once. I know lots of enthusiasts who say"I should have never sold that car" But I don't know anyone who said "sure was glad to get rid of that 427 COPO Camaro..." |

Re: would you sell?
Not me,
i got more blood, sweat, money into my truck that i dont think anyone can come close to what i got into it.Even my 70 cougar convertible i have owned since 1989 i have had many offers and i turned them ALL down.Besides if i went to a car show and was asked did you build it i say yes.I rather say i built it rather then say no i bought it like this.I like building a ride from scratch you can paint it whatever color you want put whatever drivetrain you want, interior and modifications. My next project after the truck and cougar are done is a 72 nova body and restomod it to the point it will be magazine quality. thanks pat

Re: would you sell?
I wouldn't sell mine for a fair price, because that wouldn't buy me something else I'd like as much. I wouldn't be in it to try to get back what I put into the truck, but I'd sell it if I got offered enough to go buy whatever else I'd like as good or better. and off the top of my head I can't think of something (within reason) I'd like better
