95% Done and maiden voyage in GMC

OK, here it is 95% done. I have to finish the interior, put the tailgate on and do some major cleaning and detail work but for the most part it is done. I drove it for the first time in 5 years about a mile around the block.

I just want to take a moment to remember my grandfather, Jere E. Oliver, this was his truck and I spent many good times with him working, fishing, and learning in this truck. To have this truck back is almost like having him back. I hope to become half the man he was. He always wanted to fix this up for me but he never got the chance. However, if I had not listened to his advice, I would never be in a situation to do it either. I guess he really did do it for me. Thanks papa.

I also want to thank Ed @ Mothertruckers for tolerating my impatience and 1000's of questions.

Thanks to board members, teeitup, too much stuff, Charlie Coleman, Huck, Mario in Penascola, Josh in Alabama, Rigo and anyone else that helped or sold me parts.

Absolutely AWESOME!

Your Grand Dad would be proud! Gets me choked up.

Is that your new shop going up in the background?

My Grand Dad has given me lots of great advise too. I'm going to call him right now.

Nice truck. Were these shots taken at Ed's place (Mothertruckers)? That building looks familiar. I visited him when I was on vacation.

Seacrow,
Wow! nice truck. Did you have that painted? If so can you tell me the paint name and code? It looks like my Dark Olive on my '71 Cheyenne. Does anyone know if his GMC and my Chev used the same paint? Martin? Thanks, Tom.
