Highliner headliner
Based on some other threads I read on here, I decided to go with a Highliner headliner. Best shipped price I found was through Eckler's.
Installed it today with the help of a buddy. It wasn't too bad going in. I fished the wires through the dome light hole from the passenger side, and wired up the speakers. Then we set it in place and held it temporarily with 2 screws in the holes for the visors in the front. Sat it on our heads while we drilled and got a couple of screws in to hold it. The rest was pretty easy. I'm thinking I will replace the speakers with something a lot better, as these are just barely ok. It looks pretty good, and it covered a whole lot of ugly roof that I wasn't looking forward to painting. Since I'm changing the interior over to black, I didn't have to paint the liner either. I'm not using the radio mount in it, but I think it would be a good spot for a CB at some point in the future.

Re: Highliner headliner
Thanks for posting this write-up. What are your impressions after a few months of having the highliner installed?

Re: Highliner headliner
I still like it. I changed out the speakers for some 4" Pioneer 2 ways. My only complaint is that when I get in the truck I sometime whack my head on the center part. I'm not using that part for a radio, so I wish it wasnt there.
It does make the interior look nice and it works very well for speakers without cutting anything. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Highliner headliner
I fished them up the passenger side b pillar and out the dome light hole into the highliner. Completely hidden.

Re: Highliner headliner
I know this is an really old thread, but once you ran the wires through the dome light. There were no issues with the wires being in the way & putting the dome light back up?

Re: Highliner headliner
Do they make one of these without the Radio/CB mount?

Re: Highliner headliner
OP hasn't logged into the board since March last year. Maybe he has his notices set to get an email if he receives a PM, maybe shoot him a PM and see if he gets back to you?

Re: Highliner headliner
How is this mounted to the roof by clips or what? I have been thinking on getting one of these but have read reviews that they did not fit well. Yours looks good to me I mainly need place for speakers.

Re: Highliner headliner
Self tapping screws. You have to drill a dozen or so holes around the perimeter.
