Difference in side mirror arms?
Is there a difference in the side mirror arms, according to what style mirror you have? I currently have the boxy side mirrors, but wanting to get the round mirrors and want to know if I can re-use the same arms and change ONLY the mirror.
I do realize the bracket connection to the doors might be different, but if I can reuse my arms I wouldnt have to worry about that part. I want to know specifically if the shape/size of the arms are different. [QUOTE=Mister-B;5726324]I just took mine all apart, painted them black, and bought all new screws, bolts, and lock washers, where the mirror attaches to the arm.

Here is a thread I posted some info in a few years ago... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=350011 Long69: I used a hammer and a "large" (#3 I think) Phillips screwdriver. Tap on the handle of the screwdriver as you turn it. LockDoc

Strangely, I've got one bolt I can't get to go back in. I'm just going to buy new screws sometime, but I'll warn you. They don't sell anything like this at Lowes or Home Depot. I was able to get the rest of the mirror hardware from lowes, but the mounting screws were a no go Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Difference in side mirror arms?
Spray with PB Blaster. Then put the screwdriver in the head of the screw.Take a hammer and tap the screw driver a couple of taps.As hard as you can without denting anything. The screws should loosen a bit easier.
