What is some of the ways you can mount speakers in a 1967-72 chevy with out cuting the doors?

You can mount them under the seat or use the kick panel with speakers. If you relocate the gas tank there's lots of possibilities.

I have two 6x9 speakers behind the bench seat, gas tank relocated out of the cab. With them mounted behind the seat they can sound muffled, so I have to boost the high frequencies on the radio to get them to sound clear. It's not a big issue for me, but if your radio doesn't allow much frequency adjustment, that's something to consider.

I have a pair of 10"s under the seat mounted in a box's that' are just short enough to fit. When I bought the truck it had holes in the doors so I mounted a pair of 6" midrange drivers and some 1" tweets right above the AC vents.

Don't these speakers have to be a certain "ohm" to operate on a factory radio? Just askin.

Yes, typically you can always go over the ohm rating ie: 16 OHM speaker with 4 OHM output, but not the other way around. I think it's a funny number, 10 or 11 OHMS for the original speaker.

My favorite way is putting a set of components in the door PANELS and not the door. I have 4" co-ax in the Jimmy in homemade door panels and I mounted 4" components in my old Sierra Grande in the OEM metal door panels.

A set of reproduction or homemade door panels is my vote, then if you change your mind you swap out the panels and the hole for speaker clearance disappears again behind the panel. Put the woofer down low in the door handle and not in the way of the window crank and the tweeter as high up towards the front as possible once again out of the way of the window crank. A 10" subwoofer under the seat rounds this setup out.

On my '69 short step I'm planning on 5 1/4" co-ax's in the door panel and 4" round speakers mounted under the OEM grill in the dash. A 5 channel amp will drive each of those separately along with a 10" sub under the seat.

Do you mean a picture ? Some of us are really old school and have NO IDEA what your talking about ?

Here is my all Kenwood system with a Classic Autosound head unit w/ aux port. 2 four inch speakers in the dash, 2 six and half inch speakers in kickpanels, 2 six and half inch speaker in the rear along with 1 ten inch sub all running off one 900 amp.

As stated earlier, if you can get the tank out of the cab the possibilities open up quite a bit.

It's a premade Kenwood Exceleron sub box. I like it alot.

I know they make shallow subs but not sure if they would fit under the seat with a box or not. There's not a ton of room under there. Plus doubt they would sound real good. I know in the home environment, I haven't heard a shallow InWall sub sound decent.

If you're not going for true audiophile sound, I'd say a nice pair of 4"s in the stock dash location and 6x9s in the rear cab corners would sound just fine.

My current setup is a pair of RF Punch 4"s in the dash, Punch 6x9s in the doors (holes where already there) and a RF 4-channel amp. Just running my phone directly to the amp now. It doesn't sound too bad. If I had a nice head unit/preamp I think it would sound real good. Definitely for 80% of the truck guys out there.

I'm considering at this point to eventually fill the doors/get new ones and add speakers in the kick panel. Then I may look into 2-3 8"s behind the seat.

Here are a couple of ideas that I used. The first image is a drawing of an mdf box I made and painted black to be located under the seat. It holds a 10" woofer, an amp and a reciever unit. The touch screen is mounted in front of the original in dash am radio. The second picture is of some custom kick panels I made from 1/4" mdf, 1/2" mdf ring, an old t-shirt, fiberglas and some two way stretchable black trunk liner fabric. The last part of my stereo is a custom set of stereo speakers in the original dash hole. I have attached a two pages showing the drawing/plans for that item. Please let me know if you have questions.
