Re: My GMC Sierra Grande: Project GOLDIE
A couple pics of the stock seat I custumized to my liking with Trans Am rear buckets a refurbished consol from an old Pontiac and some extra foam.
I got the thing wraped it Black imatation leather with white Stitching. I dont have picks on the finished product, ill try i get them soon. Stock seat strip and preped for revival! i kept the original foam and whent from there striped the rear seats from the trans am From there I measured and cut evrything to fit, I had to fab up a braket for the console. Glued my pieces together, used duct tape to hold everything in place While it dried. Once everything was glued, I slaped on on other layer of foam for look and comfort! |

Re: My GMC Sierra Grande: Project GOLDIE
Instaled a Locked (clutchpack) AuburnGear diff this summer along with all new bearings, cups and seals I kept the spindels the where fine. I kept the 3.40 gears that i had, and had never heard of before (usualy GM is 3.42), the ring gear had a litle wear from used bearings but it doesnt make a peep. All in all with the diff, bearings, cups, seals, oil and gasket i spent apbout 700$ Here with the alignment paste, we can see the wear i was talking about (note the absence of paste on the bottom left side of the tooths.) But everything works great! |

Re: My GMC Sierra Grande: Project GOLDIE
pulleys
Right now iam running the stock pulleys, i heard, that by changing one or some on the pulleys that i could gain a couple HP (loose less), I plan on shedding the mecanical fan setup aswell, could any one help me... Id like to know which pulley(s) to change and what size, as ive shoped a bit and there seem to be a couple of options. the only accessories i have are power streering pump, alterantor and the water pump, I have no A/C Thanks in advance for any info!
