New Truck SPID

Hey guys, my dad is working on acquiring this old truck and he asked me to get a ballpark on the production number. Obviously it won’t be exact but I think the main question is “how rare is it to have a non Cheyenne bbc swb truck” Maybe some help on what the interior would look like with a custom deluxe. The truck had been altered quite a bit from factory so any info would be appreciated.

I don't know how rare it is, but pretty cool none the less.

Re: New Truck SPID

Buy the truck based on condition, NOT based on a sticker that is easily reproduced nowadays.

While a CE107_ _ SWB BBC seems a rare combo, they are out there at all trim levels.

If you want a rare combo look for a CE107_ _ with a factory four-speed (wide or close ratio) 68-70 Behind a L47 or L66. Even a HD three-speed 68-72 is uncommon behind a factory BBC!

Here is a black (601) 1972 Custom Deluxe interior picture.

Thanks Tim, it looks like the original seat is still in the truck but the cloth has been replaced. So as far as production numbers go, is it safe to assume there were more Custom and Custom Deluxe BB SWB trucks then Cheyenne and Cheyenne Supers?

That is probably not a re-insrted original 72 seatcover if that is what you mean to say.

Its never safe to assume anything especially production numbers of specific combos.

Like I said "all trim levels" so from 68-72 that includes:
10
C10
CUSTOM 10
CUSTOM DELUXE 10
CUSTOM DELUXE 10 HIGHLANDER
CST
CST10
CHEYENNE 10
CHEYENNE SUPER 10

Even trucks (independent of trim) fender badged only as:
Custom Camper
Custom Camper 10
