It attaches to this cab brace a little lower down where the pipe starts. It is still attached in this pic, It's just not visible

Your welcome, but the info I gave you was not exactly correct. I went out to my shop and looked at it and the shield was not on that brace, it was screwed onto the cab floor a little right of that brace right over the exhaust pipe.

yes thats right 2 screws go threw cab floor into the shield to hold it on.
