Buying new radiator for my 68-need advice.

The truck had a 327 I think but now has a 350. I want max cooling. I can't afford the expensive rads though but I am going to get it from Napa. Should I get what they show for a 68 327 or should I get the one that they show for a 68 3/4 ton? Would it fit? Is it bigger? Would the standard rad that came with the 327 work for my 350 ok? (I would think so but who knows.) Thanks for the help. =)

Should I throw a new thrmostat too? The one in it is working well but I did not know if it is a standard thing to do.

Re: Buying new radiator for my 68-need advice.

I bought a replacement 4 core from Autozone when mine starting leaking in Pheonix Az. It was about $200 if I remember right. It cools my 5.3 just fine, even while towing 5000 lb travel trailer. It was a brand made in Canada, they also make gas tanks. It had the tranny cooler inside also. Fit well, except the channels on top and bottom were wider, so my alum shroud was closer to engine. The mounts with rubber pads might need changed if you go with anything but what yours came with, IE 4 core vs 2 or 3 core. Good luck. Jim.

I got a 3 core from o'reillys, when I had a 350 in my truck, worked great, think it was around $180.
