Have you looked in the "parts for sale" forum on here. You are allowed to buy stuff if you see something for sale there. There are a lot of people parting out trucks and listing the parts. LockDoc

I bet if you were to become a supporting member and posted a WTB thread, they would be popping up left and right. It's worth it, this place is amazing and the knowledge you pick up from here will cover the cost of joining!

all of the board vendors sell new ones at a reasonable price. junkyards sell them used at a reasonable price. you can look on the parts board for them used. you can also become a supporting member and post a wtb ad for these or any other part you may need.

in addition to everything else noted above there are a lot of swap meets right now as well as craigslist being a good source..

Joining up may be a good idea but he said he doesn't have the extra cash right now to do it, so that's not an option for him. LockDoc

Re: i dont want to buy yours but....
I'd have to agree with Leddzepp in that several board vendors have them for a reasonable price. Most of the used ones would be in rough shape by now anyhow.
Wes at Classicheartbeat has chrome aftermarket ones for 26.95 a pair and some fancy aluminum ones for more. So that is something to go by. Guys are probably going to ask ten or fifteen for presentable used ones and maybe more. Brothers has them on sale at the moment http://www.brotherstrucks.com/products.asp?dept=974 I couldn't buy the gas for my truck to go look for a used pair for what these they sell for new. it would cost me 25 bucks to drive down to the wrecking yard that usually has some of these trucks.
