Aftermarket bed sides

I want to cut my lwb truck down to a swb. Can't find any shortbeds around here, plus if I cut mine down they still need some work where someone backed up into the rear lights.

The bedsides I found are on ebay and they are goodmark. Anyone have any experience with them?

#1: "They are Goodmark". I see this all the time. They are "sold by Goodmark". They don't make them.

#2: Only one company makes them and they are very nice pieces you can use with confidence.

Re: Aftermarket bed sides

Brothers is having a sale on them until the end of the month...might want to compare prices. If I ever build another truck I am going to buy an aftermarket set of sides. I have never heard a bad word about them. Can't beat rust free and dent free!

Re: Aftermarket bed sides

I bought a goodmark hood. Was very satisfied. I would expect the bedsides to be just as good.

Re: Aftermarket bed sides

I used aftermarket ones and it seems that the quality is starting to go south. I had bought one around 10 years ago and bought the other side last year. The older one was welded together with much more precision. On the later one the holes for the tail lights were too small and the panel that you bolt the tail lights to was welded around a half inch off so had to drill new holes. Other than that they are quality pieces, I guess the stamping dies and assembly jigs are getting a bit worn, still way easier then doing all the body work on the old sides.
