What rear axle is this?
Anyone know what rear axle this is? Has a round 10 bolt cover and a removable pumpkin. I know it is not a 10-bolt, not a 12-bolt, and not a Dana 60. What else is there? I have heard of Eaton and HO72, but have no clue what they are.
This is in my 1970 C20. It has coils and helper leafs.

Re: What rear axle is this?
Thank you for the reply. This rear axle just seems like overkill for a farm truck. I thought the Eaton rears were only used on big truck like cabovers.

Re: What rear axle is this?
Yup, Eaton, common in C20s, C30s and K20s as well as others. Overkill? No such thing for a good stout truck!

Re: What rear axle is this?
its a bullet proof rear. some say the parts are expensive and hard to find, but I feel they are the same price as for my dana 60 in my c20. napa carries all the brake parts for this rear.

Have any sources for pinion bearings that are similar in price to a D60? HO52 pinion bearings are $275 by themselves and only 72 drums are available |
