Battery Cable, How Long?

I need to replace my positive battery cable with a thicker one. Does anyone know what length I should get? I really don't feel like removing it frist to measure it. Small Block Chevy. Passenger battery down to the starter. Thanks

I usually get them around 48 to 50". They seem to work well when you are routing them away from the hot stuff... Good Luck
