manual to power brakes(again)
i know this has been posted before, but i have a manual brakes 69 witha leaky master cylinder, so im gonnag et a new one, then just a booster out of a junkyard, and it should all bolt up right? bend my lines forward a bit and hook up the vaccuum? or am i thinking this is way to easy. i guess my 2 questions are if i get teh 17 dollar rebuilt master cylinder from pronto and a booster off a junkyard 67-72? or what years are bolt on? then it should all go together right? thansk, Ben

I think have everything I need to do the same thing, the only thing I can't figure out is how the rod from the pedal attaches to the one on the bell crank thing that is attached to the booster. Does anyone have a picture of what it looks like (not on the truck)?

you need to get the rod from the power brake truck too, simplest way.

Hey guys. I just went to power on my 69 with drums. I got a junk yard booster with the mounting brackets, then bought a new master cylinder, found the connecting rod with the pins and everything bolted right up. It's fairly simple. Good luck. Dont forget the vacuum.

so you want the one that actually hooks too the pedal arm? There was a truck that had the whole thing in pick & pull near my house, so maybe I could get it from that one. Also, the rod on the master clyender looks different. I have 3 one the power brake kind (they were free) but I have never seen one of the manual ones off of the truck.
