Simple really, he keeps making money using it. He has it on his hard drive and there is no need to change it until he is caught.

I think that he is using actual peoples names and addresses and sets up an email address that looks like it is from them. Every time he sets up a new eBay ID that looks like it is from a different part of the country, when in fact, he most likely never moves. The only real way to trace him is to get someone who can run his ISP address. Even then, if they are good, the can always change providers every time, or run multiple routings to make him hard to trace. We are talking FBI level stuff to track him down.

Re: Ebay fraud?

I bid everytime it comes up. I tell him if I win I will fly in and drive it back to Virginia. He sends out a form letter about how his brother-in-law will haul it for free so there is no need to fly out. This guy needs to be caught.

Re: Ebay fraud?

What's the point of putting it up for auction if he cancels all bids?

Everyone is looking for that big great deal, all you really need to do is talk to people outside of Ebay, say you will sell it for whatever price and you will stop the auction, even if its like $2000.. you scam enough people it adds up...

Re: Ebay fraud?

A lot of times these D---heads will steal another persons Ebay account and use it to post the listing. They then get others to send them a deposit and stuff and just close the auction and move on. Another thing they prey on the newer users because they are not to familiar with Ebay so they usually are the ones with the jacked account. Ebay will never ask for your info. These guys send out spoof emails that usually say stupid things like Your Account is going to be canceled if you do not update your credit card info.... Please Log in now and update your info. It will have a link to log in that looks just like the ebay site. Also I have gotten You have failed to send the item you sold please log into your account at the link below and settle the dispute with the buyer.

Re: Ebay fraud?

Well the guy cancelled my $27,000.00 bid and I get this little message when I tried to bid again. He must not like the little note I sent him. If everyone goes in and bids 60 grand everytime he cancels the bids and starts over then he won't be able to scam somebody.
