Choose my new rims...

Well... the bodywork isnt prolly gonna happen because its not going to be the way I want it. I want those pinstripes GONE or painted over in a different shade, that wont happen with the paint that is on there now. So I will probobly have a check for 1600 dollars sitting in my pocket. I want a definite change in my truck to come from this little accident so I have decided on some new shoes for her...

A 17x8 American Racing Hopster...

Or a 18x8 Eagle Alloy Series 212

I was really considering a 18/20 combo with the 212's, but the tire prices for the 20's will be pretty insane. Im just kinda torn on how I want to go...

If anybody has other Ideas, let me know!

Personally, I like nothing bigger than 17s and those first rims are really nice!

Tire rack has a special on BFG 245 40 20 right now for $235 each. Thats a pretty good price!! Both wheels are nice but old style at the same time. If I had to pic I like the 2nd ones.

I see yours Bagged, but mine will still only have a static drop. I just dont know how good it would look with an 18/20 combo. Plus everyone and their mom runs the 212's now, I want to be original.

I know. I wanted to give you a picture of them on our body style and test my new online photo album.

I agree, 212's are too common. These will be sold in favor for 22's soon enough.

I think you answered your own question. The 212's are good looking wheels, but too common. The Hopsters are a bit different, and still very classic looking.

BTW- You can get Goodyear Eagle GT II's in 20's for 139.00 on tire www.tirerack.com.

I bet I could get you hooked up with a set for pretty close to the amount of your check...

I had the Hopsters on my 92 Z28, I really liked them. I would definitely go that way, of the two choices.

212s are too common...I chose them only because they were cheaper in price.

I believe there's also a 295-50-20 that they use on the Ram and it's a GTII also. It's a standard tire on that and the Harley F150's so that's why the price is so cheap.

Well... I think im definitely going the hopster route if I do go with rims.

If anybody wants a set of very nice rims with brand new BFGoodrich radial T/A's in 255/60/15's Ill let mine go for about $400, these tires have about 100 miles on them.

I dont know though, now looking at my existing rims with the new tires I almost want to put the money into something else, but I dont want to tear into a really reliable motor with only 35k on it, I dont NEED anymore HP, although some vortecs and a new cam would put me in the 330hp range. I think its just a bad Idea for me though.

Tires/wheels do seem like a good option. Its a very significant change. Bodymods seem to be not very important other than paint. Hrmmm... decisions.

Actually the make 3 sizes in 20's-275/45VR20 ($139) which is the stock size on the Harley F-150, the 285/50HR20 ($143) which is the stock size on the Dodge Ram 1500, and a 305/50HR20 ($136).

I may as well post all of the ones that matter-
285/60HR18 ($115)
285/65SR17 ($97)
275/60TR17 ($89)
255/60SR17 ($88)

Any more questions?
