Nokesville.....Where the heck is that?
Howdy all! Nokesville is in Prince William County, in Northern Virginia.
Glad to be able to finally be able to post here. I joined the forum a few weeks ago, but haven't been able to post. For some reason I couldn't post using AOL. I have two trucks. One I just started working on again, I like to call this one my Box Truck, especially since just about everything I have bought for it has been in boxes for several years. It's a Black 1970 Chevrolet 2 wheel drive longbed, automatic, P/S, P/B and A/C. And the other, I just purchased from the original owner for my teenager son, is a green & white 1969 Chevrolet 4X4 shortbed fleetside, 4 speed and bucket seats. I wasn't looking for another truck when I bought this, but I couldn't pass up a good deal on such a great truck. It's hard to believe, but neither truck has ever been repainted and have minimal rust. Since I know I'll have many questions, I'll be a regular of the 67-72 forum. Seeya.... |

Hey Truckism,
Welcome to the site from Vienna, Austria. I grew up in Nokesville and Gainesville. I graduated from Brentsville High School in '82 and I'm moving back to the area on the 15th of May. We'll have to get together sometime.

Re: Nokesville.....Where the heck is that?
Athey's is less then an hour away so, I make the trip up there every couple weeks to pick up or order something. It's convenient having a place like Athey's so close and be able to see what your buying before you spend the money.

I know Nokesville. Grew up in Falls Church in the 80's. Now live in Winchester. Maybe, I'll catch you at the Burger King near the Airport?

Re: Nokesville.....Where the heck is that?
The Burger King is a hangout for car enthusiast every Saturday night. Once the weather breaks, the place is packed. Not much going on now with the cold hanging around. I can be there within two minutes from home.

I have been there often for the cruise-ins. I just wondered how often you go.
