Drop Spindles
Last spindles I bought were ECE and since they are no longer in business...who makes the best fitting 2.5 drop spindles for a 71 and where is the best place to buy? Best deal?
Thanks in advance. |

Re: Drop Spindles
I went with the modular CPP spindles with brackets to run my factory caliper/rotors. They fit perfect and they are supposed to be made to correct the others that force the track width issues for front tires. I picked mine up off Summit as they had free shipping. It also gives you the opportunity to run big brake kits or upgrade to them later. Only drawback, if it really is one, is that you don't have the option to run the dust shields.

Re: Drop Spindles
Thank you...really wanting the other style, but will look into these as well...its a 69 big block truck, but am changing the ball joints and all to accept the 71-72 spindle...already have those parts or would buy the 63-70 style

Re: Drop Spindles
ECE is back in business, owned by Holley now. When I was looking they were also only company that had different small and big block drop springs.

Re: Drop Spindles
I too was a firm ECE customer for years. 21 years ago we used the ECE drop shocks, drop springs, rear shock relocator kit, and many other items on my C10.
Started a total restoration 5 years ago, and bought new shocks from ECE. I ended up doing a CPP coilover setup last month and swapped out the stock spindles for Western Chassis 2 1/2" Drop Spindles. |

Re: Drop Spindles
That is the old Ece web site
All phone numbers are blacked out Checkout no payment accepted Not sure when and if Holley will start selling Ece products I have been waiting myself Thinking about ordering from Gmcpauls for my springs |
