cross member question

On a 6 cyl /3 spd man did gm use a cross member ? Its got the motor mounts, and then mounts on the bell housing but nothing under the tranny .Sure seems odd to have it stickin out like that with nothing supporting it . Ivan

No cross member under a manual trans. The bell housing mounts provide the support.
