Angry Looks like I'm gonna have to tear it down again

I took my K-10 out to get wood the other day after about 4" of snow hit the ground. I locked the hubs, put the 205 in 4 HI, started moving and it sounded like someone was beating on my front driveshaft with a hammer!!!!!!!!!! 4 LO was the same racket. I am not impressed. I'm hoping I get lucky and it's just a u-joint, either in the driveshaft or the axle......either way it would be better than having to rebuild the transfer case. It sounds fine in 2WD. The weather's been to crappy to slide under it and investigate where the noise is comming from. Has anyone else exprienced this? What did you find?

Hey Chad, I agree, check the U joints first. Don't forget the ones in the stearing nuckel also. Could also be that the hubs aren't locking in all the way, had that problem on me 74 Blazer. But on my old bronco I had blown the ring and pinion.
