Plastic or OE Type A/C hoses?

Which should I use? LMC has both. Which is easier to work with? The original ones pretty much disintegrated when I started pulling them out. I do not want to risk damaging replacements when I go back together with everything. I do like things to look original. Any help or sharing of experiences is appreciated.
