67 C30 emblems, and my awesome tailgate find
I had a 67 c30 farm truck given to me. I was wondering if the emblems were worth anything, since i see you cannot buy them in any catalogs that I've looked through. I said 100 bucks for the emblems, the original owners manual and protecto plate and the guy interested ran away.
Was I out of line? Oh and I picked up a 67-72 fleetside tailgate at a garage sale down the road from me. You wont believe for how much....$25. not a spec of rust on it. I was working on my truck outside and some guy pulled up and said hey theres a tailgate for one of those at a garage sale down the road so i went and checked it out, i never imagined it would be a rust free one with the stamped chevrolet lettering. Wiht that original puke greenish colored paint and all lol. Im not planning on selling it unless i switch to a stepside box. Im just curious what a tailgate like that would go for. Did i get as good of a deal as i think i did? |

The tailgates go for a couple hundred.Yours was prolly a take-off gate for a camper hauler. The truck is long gone and the gate was still laying around in the garage.
I`m not sure what you are saying about the C30 emblems.Did you buy them?

Re: 67 C30 emblems, and my awesome tailgate find
I have the c30 emblems from the 67 c30 that im taking a bunch of parts from, the body is pretty much shot on it but there is a lot of good parts ive been taking, the rest of the truck will be scrapped.
I was just wondering if they were worth anything since I see you can't get them out of a catalog, like I said before I told someone Id sell him the 2 emblems, the orginal owners manual and protecto plate for 100 bucks and he ran away. Was I asking way to much? The emblems are really nice |

Re: 67 C30 emblems, and my awesome tailgate find
30s aren`t reproduced and there are guys out there that need them, but they`d still be worth about $25-30@pr.Maybe as much as $50 to the right person for excellent ones.I don`t know the value of a protecto-plate other than still being with original vehicle.
