Question 1 Ton Chevy Trucks

I have a couple questions for whomever can answer them please.
#1.Did they make 1 tons in the 67-72 years?
#2.Also did these trucks have have drum brakes all around in all these years or did the 71-72 have disc up front?
#3.Will the newer 1 tons disc setup work on the older ones?If so, what will I need to take off {spindles,a-arms,outer tierods,}anything else?
I 'm asking because I know where there is such a truck for canalbalizing.

Hello, I'll try to answer some.
1 yes they made 1 tons in these years there is a thread under pictures with a bunch.
2 I think disks came on 72 and up on the front.
3 not sure if the later front ends bolt right on but I think they do till about early 80's

if I am wrong someone will chime in.

just wanted to say that discs were available in 71 i'm pretty sure. otherwise these trucks came w/drums all around. 67-70 1-ton drum brake systems interchange for the most part. also most 3/4 ton 67-70 drums interchange with the 1-tons. a good source for the brake parts for these trucks is Classic Industries in california or your local napa auto parts stores. if i think of more i'll post again.
