what is this mirror from?

This is on a local guy's truck....he already painted the doors and wants new mirrors but nothing we have matches the holes. This mirror is about 61/2" tall overall and has a 4 1/2" round head. The base is plastic.

anyone know what it is so he can get new ones?

Re: what is this mirror from?

His mirorrs were definatly not stock, now that I googled what stock ones look like, they were some kind of universal like this one. I think these might be the ones you are looking for.

Re: what is this mirror from?

I'm waiting for the guy to come back. He's one of our local cops that just did his truck....didn't check the mirrors until after painting and only has two mounting holes that don't match the factory mirrors.

Re: what is this mirror from?

You could email the ebay seller and ask them to measure the mounting hole distance to make sure they will work.

Re: what is this mirror from?

Those look like some universals we sell at O'Reilly's. The plastic base sounds more aftermarket than original.

Re: what is this mirror from?

the plastic base makes it seem like a $12.99 one from E-Bay...the only metal on this thing is the non-stainless screws holding the mirror head on

Re: what is this mirror from?

I think the ones from O'Reilly's are plastic as well. If you have some parts houses close by I would give them a call and see what they have. I have seen these mirrors in parts houses before, they are a pretty common universal mirror. Then you can physically check them to the vehicle and take them back if wrong with out the shipping hassle. It may be worth a shot.

Re: what is this mirror from?

The GM mirror that is similar mounts to a base that is attached to the door. They also have the bowtie on them. So, while the mirror is similar to a GM mirror, it ain't the same.
