Gauges
I want to put in some differnt gauges in my 67 C20, some ones i found off of Jegs.com, but i was wondering how hard its gonna be to take out the old cluster and put in the new ones, they arent a cluster, they are all seperate circular gauges. Appreciate the help, thanks

You can find info in the FAQ or on the main board. Really depends on what you are really wanting to do. Here's mine. It was really pretty easy. Time consuming connecting everything.

Here are mine also.
I have mine set up a lot like Mudder (actually, I almost copied it). I installed them from the back instead. He is right, it will take a little time to do, depanding on how nit-picky you are with the back side of it.
(**notice I even made up a quick connect harness**) As far as getting your old cluster out, just remove the knobs for the headlights & wipers (and choke if you have one), unscrew the speedo cable from the cluster, unplug the harness, remove the screws, and voila....it's out. I did have to drop the support for the steering column and let the column drop so I had a little more space to work with, but I have done it without moving the column, also.

I got mine from summit, but I don't remember how much they set me back total. I also made a quick disconnect using some trailer wiring harnesses.

I got mine from Summit & Jegs. Not exactly cheap, by any means. I could have bought a new tach dash from any of the vendors for less money.
I dropped $573 for the gauges, then had to add the cost of a new bezel, plus several hours of fitting & wiring.

Mine were around 500 bucks for all the gauges. I had a new bezel. I think its one of the nicest things I have done to my truck. IMO. Having good accurate gauges is pretty nice. If you look around the site there are all different kind of options that u will see.

I say go electric but its probably to everyones opinion as to waht they like. I think the electric was pretty simple. I did get a mechanical speedo.

Putter and Mudder67, what size are the gauges in the middle hole? I want to set mine up that way but haven't seen any that fit.

The middle gauge is 3 3/8. Autometer doesn't make the black face anymore. They still make the 3 3/8 water and oil pressure in teh phantom series. (white faced).

The reason mine was a little more costly was I chose the electric speedo. The sending unit is seperate, and that makes up most of the cost difference. But, I just swapped rear axles with GMan69 so I could get his 3.07 gears (I do interstates alot), and with the electric speedo, it took literally 4 minutes to re-calibrate my speedo, and I never had to get out of the cab. It kinda eliminated the trial & error portion of speedo calibration.
I absolutely love my gauges and feel they were worth every single penny.
