Want to buy Western Wheel to match photo, it is 16.5 X 9.75, 8 lug. Need one or two wheels.

Another picture of wheel needed on truck, it looks better then tricycle tire on rear that came on the truck. The truck came with only three of the Western Wheels.

Carlisle! You bought that one,eh? Just a helpful bit of info here, Western called those wheels "Bullets". I figure that may be helpful to know when you are asking around. they were one of the first wheels to come with an integrated center. They were flat across and I remember some full-floater hubs not fitting under them. They look great w/o (on 8-luggers)

Tim,

Thanks for the additional information on the wheels, received a very good price, last day of Carlisle. Truck is actually in your region, grandson has it in northern VA.

It has been same owner for last 25 years and had not been driven much in recent years. Think it has been AZ truck most of it life. Has a few nice options. Not much rust and clean frame. A few panels, have some dents.
It is a real K short bed truck.

That will be a tough one to find. Plenty of 5 lug bullets out there. Maybe the contact on the link can point you in the right direction.

Good luck with your search,
Tom

Re: WTB: Western Wheel 16.5x 9.75

Tom and all others, thanks for the help. Research so far indicates that 8.25s are much more common then the 9.75s. May go with a pair of 8.25s on front till I can find another 9.75 wide wheel.

Thanks,
Les

maybe look up http://www.detroitvintagewheels.com/ and give him a call to see if he has anything laying around. I know he restores original wheels.
