Blazer rubber floor mats????

Has any here bought the polyvinyl flloor mats for a blazer before? Like the one I see for sale in LMC. The wife I are thinking it would be better with all the snow and sun with the top off all summer. Any sugestions? I also thought of carpet up front and mat in the back. Thanx for the help.

Re: Blazer rubber floor mats????

I bought one for my blazer, can't remeber who it was from but it was made by ACC of of georgia or Florida, they make most aut carpeting. Anyway, I wanted and exact repro of the old flooring I pulled from my blazer that was originally installed. Found the catalogue ad which said it was an xeact duplicate of the orginally patterned old style, so I thought I was golden, ordered it, big heavy box, opened it up, and there is no original pattern at all and after some more research, it is not made for the blazer anymore. The original pattern style from the truck is supposed to fit the blazer front end but there is no matching wall to wall mat for the the back part, which I was thinking about going with the front original style like the trucks the use the flat rubber mat for the back because I have a few bucks tied up in that. There are some who say that the rubber mat will hold moisture and aid rust faster, I tend to believe that because the floor on my 58,000 mile rig was dammaged from rust, mostly surface and rust thru in the kick panel area but none the less probably would have breathed better with carpet. So many decisions...so little brain power! For me, anyhow! Good luck

Re: Blazer rubber floor mats????

Maybe some vendors could chime in on what is currently available. I am interested in rubber mats front and back, factory style.

Re: Blazer rubber floor mats????

I too am interested in the ORIGINAL type of rubber floor mat. If there are any vendors that sell repro floor mats that are EXACTLY like the ORIGINAL or very close to it please let us know; and put some pics up so we can see how acurrate it is. I still have my factory original rubber floor mat so I know what they should look like.

Re: Blazer rubber floor mats????

I would be interested in the ORIGINAL style also, front and back. I still have my old ones, unusable but I know what they are supposed to look like... bigdon

Re: Blazer rubber floor mats????

the factory placed a white foam backing under most rubber floor coverings to combat the problem of rust due to minimal air circulation.

had it in my truck and have seen it in several 70-72's.....

Re: Blazer rubber floor mats????

tcb-1 is correct. My 72 blazer has the original floor mat and under it is a white foam material. My floorboards are still rusted out though.

Re: Blazer rubber floor mats????

So I guess by the silence, there are no vendors making BOTH parts of the original style floor mats for the Blazer....

I'm guessing not, or nobody wants to sell some.

Re: Blazer rubber floor mats????

I got one this last Christmas but have not installed it yet. It was ordered from LMC but it comes from ACC if you wanted to order it direct. Looks real nice and heavy duty, hopefully it will fit nice.

I have been waiting for some nice warm weather before I put it in. It's folded up in a box so it needs to sit out in the sun to get the creases out. It has the jute backing and looks real good. I'll take some pictures this weekend but I won't be able to post them until Monday. I just moved and don't have internet at my new place yet.

Re: Blazer rubber floor mats????

We sell the ACC one and it does not have the factory grain. However it does fit. You will not find one with original graining because they are not being reproduced. You might get lucky and find something on E-bay or something.

I was wondering if you could post a pic for us showing the polyvinyl mat for the blazer and a rubber mat w/ tails for a truck? Could the rubber truck mat be used in a blazer? I dont want to purchase either w/ out seeing it first.
Thanks in advance!

I've been passively looking for a few years now, but Wes confirmed my suspicions.
