OT: new shop dog

The newest family member. 9 week old doberman, parents were both around 100lbs, should be pretty big dog. We recently found out that there is a registered child molestor about 2 blocks from where our new house is being built. I have three daughters all under the age of 6, so I thought that a big dog might be a little deterant. He also is a cool shop dog. he loves to come in and steal anything that he can carry off.

Look at the feet on that little guy. You are going to have a monster on your hands.

That sucks to hear you got a whacko living near your new home. We had a local news channel bust a dentist here last week. He thought he was talking to a 13 year old girl in a chat room. He sent "her" pics of his unit laying in a hot dog bun. When he went to her house, he was meet by a TV camera crew.

This guy had on office real close to my house. Two of my daughters friends were his patients, and my wife knew one of his assistants. I'm still shocked thinking how close it was to my family...

yeah man, wierdos are everywhere. My wife was really disturbed to find out about his guy. My great dane died about 2 years ago, and we haven't had a big dog since then. I like having a big dog in the yard , kinda makes me feel better. I've always wanted a doberman, so I thought now was as good a time as any to get one.
I already took him to the vet for his first "body mod"

Nice puppy74. Teach him to go for the "jewels" and let that try to touch one of your daughters. I have a feeling that the dog wouldn't be the only one going for the kill. Good luck with the puppy.

I "ALMOST" got a Doberman that was 1.5 years old, but it didn't work out. I still want one. I particularly want a Blue Dobe.

A big gun might not be a bad idea, either.

12 guages seem to be pretty intimidating, but with kids around the house a lot of people don't feel comfortable with fire-arms around.
