Sights & Sounds from the 2019 Portland Swap Meets

OK, only sights, no sounds. I attended the PIR Swap today, and will attend the Expo Center swap meet tomorrow. Thought I would share a 'virtual tour' for those who haven't been. I'll try to keep it C10 focused, which is easy to do. I'm not promoting any of these for sale, just sharing pics.

Thanks for posting pics... The big question is, were there any deals?

Both are big. PIR takes a full day to walk through, if you walk at a pretty good clip. Same for the Expo Center swap.

It was a mixed bag regarding deals. I wasn't looking for much, mostly an outer grill with Chevy lettering for my '69. I found several, but most were worse than the one I have now. The best of those that I found was $230, and had it's share of of condition problems. If a guy was serious about buying a truck, I saw a few that I thought were pretty reasonable, and several that were seriously overpriced.

Re: Sights & Sounds from the 2019 Portland Swap Meets

Expo Center Swap today. It wouldn't be the Portland Swap Meet without rain, and the weather did not disappoint today. It poured all day, with a couple of brief breaks while the clouds reloaded. From the looks of all the umbrellas, several of our friends from California were able to travel to attend!

Re: Sights & Sounds from the 2019 Portland Swap Meets

Since no one person can see everything at the Portland Swap meet I asked Jon if I could add to his excellent thread and he graciously said yes, so here are photos I took during my travels thru the auto wonderland.

CAUTION MANY OF THESE PHOTOS CONTAIN HIGH MOISTURE CONTENT!

Re: Sights & Sounds from the 2019 Portland Swap Meets

I thought it was a good meet. I picked up some soggy stuff lol.
As for bargains a few.
69 Camaro Rosewood wheel $225
1-15x8 rim $25
4- 66 armrests for $5 for all 4
a large bill breather $40
67 bezel $10
68 Speedwarning/Vac cluster with buzzer $325
67 radio section $10.
67-68 grill section $100
67 glovebox door $5
3-67-68 side mould trim pcs $10
67 rearview mirror $5
2 - 67-68 horn buttons one fair $30 one with a few tabs broke $10
BBC corvette breather lid $10
Rear bumper for $20 rough but I think I can straighten it.
I picked up a few aftermarket things from the Truck Shop
I'm pretty stoked about the Rosewood wheel. It's been repaired but looks to be original. Almost too nice for my 67.
