Sat pics (6-7) Rogersville
I shot this round while we were at Rogersville the other week. Aside from a bit of rain early in the day the weather was gorgeous!
The ever controversial chopped pickup! Still under construction but sweet. Interesting color combo. I think it works well. For some reason I liked this combo as well. A watchdog is much cooler than a crybaby! |

Re: Sat pics (6-7) Rogersville
Shall we all guess what era this car was built in??!! Classic example of why we should avoid trends. (if you can't afford to redo your car when the trends change again). AHHH.....Isn't she sweet? I've done some editing and tinting to a few of these and I'll add them to the thread later guys. I hope ya like em! |

Re: Sat pics (6-7) Rogersville
Great pics!
How much for the 69/70 that was for sale? Not commenting on the chop top, but I actually like the flat yellow paint, kind of different.

Re: Sat pics (6-7) Rogersville
Tisk tisk you picture takin`foo.That`53-ish GMC have a very L.A. look about it.Got chrome, too. My favorite is the war-era pickup,K.I.S.S.You know what I like about the r...ra...um,ra...t,cars like the vintage 1st gen-style dry lakes/air strip racer-looking that needs the body finished, choptop,an exposed no b.s. motor, red wheels, extremely low,and www? And,I think it`s what they`re all about? It`s the D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F. attitude they scream...and it sure would be fun to drive.I`d like to do one,but I would definately want a seat that wouldn`t cripple me.Maybe some kind on gel with wicked hand-tooled leather so it still had a minimal look.

Re: Sat pics (6-7) Rogersville
I know the guy that owns the copper/white GMC. That poor truck has been changed more times than my underwear. The truck was solid pearl white when he first finished it. He constantly added, changed, repainted, and rechromed about everything on it. The sad part is, it was an original, super rare Hydramatic truck with an auto trans. The 1953 GMC was the first year for a hydramatic trans in a pickup.
Nice shots Asa. I need to get my dad's pics uploaded and post em eventually.
