Hidden Hitches and Blazer Tanks?
Anyone here using a hidden hitch with a sport bumper and a blazer tank conversion? I'm talking about the kind like ECE sells that is completely hidden behind the bumper.

Re: Hidden Hitches and Blazer Tanks?
I have the ECE stainless tank and their hidden hitch with a sport bumper on my '72 longbed.
A little entertaining to get it all back there, but it all fits. |

Re: Hidden Hitches and Blazer Tanks?
Here's some pics from various angles with a couple in relation to the frame, edge of the bumper, etc.
Hope this helps. DLB |

Re: Hidden Hitches and Blazer Tanks?
If the blazer tank doesn't fit nice, i know of a guy thats got a late model suburban tank under his, i dont know if it helps or not, and i dont know much about it.
Just thought I'd put the idea out there.

Re: Hidden Hitches and Blazer Tanks?
I'll try to remember and take some pics of my hitch tonight if someone will tell me that pretty much ANY of the "Blazer" or "truck conversion" tanks will work.
I am thinking of relocating, but don't want to lose my hitch. DLB Last edited by Orange; 08-07-2007 at 02:53 PM. |

Re: Hidden Hitches and Blazer Tanks?
I have a factory suburban tank with the ece hidden hitch and rear sport bumper. It all works together, but it is very tight getting to the bumper bolts and takes some time. I need to drop my tank to fix my sending unit, and I have not been looking forward to it....

Re: Hidden Hitches and Blazer Tanks?
To be honest there wasn't any drama around mounting the hitch or the ECE tank.
I took the bed off of my truck to do it, but other than that...no excitement. I did use -8 fuel line, and on a long bed it required me to notch one of the bed supports to clear the -8 fitting/hose. That was the only thing that wasn't in the instructions from ECE as shipped. Those guys are top notch in my opinion. |

Re: Hidden Hitches and Blazer Tanks?
I think the only thing I need to know is where the rear strap will mount?
