Wow! That is really sharp. Can't even tell it is a roll down window. Where did you dig that up? Does it go all the way down? Nice addition man.

Lots of work but it would be absolutely incredible when done.

I've got one as well just sitting in my closet waiting for a new (to me) truck to put it into.

Re: Roll down back window

Just to rub it in, my '31 Ford Model A had a roll down rear window -

It was a regular option, starting in the middle of the '31 calendar year.

It used a window crank and lift mechanism, just like the side doors, and all of the trim just moved forward the thickness of the window lift. I'm thinking the idea above of using a Suburban/Blazer window lift and redoing the cab back has some possibilities....

Re: Roll down back window

There is a guy here in town that has a glass rear window that has latches on both sides that allow the window to be gapped open on both sides, it is solid window, it just bows the glass itself when you open both ends (they open about 1.5"). Only one I have ever seen like it.

I remember those from the 80's. If memory serves me correct, they weren't glass though.

Just looked it over last weekend at a car show, this one was glass. When I seen it in the open position, I asked the owner about it (thinking it was plexiglass myself). He showed me how it worked and said it was glass, and sure looked and felt like glass to me. I know my factory back window when out of the cab seemed a little flimsy, but I would have been scared to bend it like this one was! It had the brand name painted or etched on the glass but for the life of me I can't remember what it was...he is a local guy I see often, will try to track him down and get the brand name off the window.
