tilt column
i bought a gear shift for my auto tilt column from a board member. it appears to maybe be too long to go into the hole and i see no where for the ball to slide in. im about 1/4 to 1/2 inch from going in far enough to pu tthe pin in. any suggestions or is something munked up in my column.
it was filled with bodo and painted from the genius i bought the truck from but i was able to remove it without any damage. |

Re: tilt column
It sound like you have the wrong shift lever for a tilt column as there is no ball on the end. Here is a pic of the end of a shift lever for tilt columns.
