Anyone want to trade?

I have a SWB fleetside for a 68 with steel floor - only has surface rust and a few dents. Anyway - what I would rather have is the same bed except with a wooden floor. So I'm looking to trade or if anyone could tell me how to convert this bed. I currently have a short stepside on there - is there anything I need to keep to make this switch. Thanks in advance.

Don't know if it is anything that appeals to you, but the concept that Show Decks has is, to me. It is a wooden floor, with bright, shiny strips. It lays on top of the original floor and looks like it came with it, unless you drop the tailgate and see it standing proud of the steel floor.

It's an alternative....

Re: Anyone want to trade?

No, nothing to keep from the stepside... but you have an extra fleet bed with a steel floor?

To convert that, all you need is a new front bed panel, all the cross members, and the rear panel at the bottom of the bed, plus the wood and strips. Really not all that bad if your bed is in good shape. Of course, all the stuff I listed out needs to be for a "wood floor" fleetside bed.

Re: Anyone want to trade?

If you would like to trade this, please place an ad in the parts forum.....

But as others mention, all you need to do is buy the bed wood and strips, and change the front bed panel out to a wood bed panel...I would be interested in the steel bed floor if you sell

Re: Anyone want to trade?

Check out Mar-K. USA made in OK and I think they have all the parts needed to convert.
