Painted interiors

I am a new member with several 1963-66 trucks.
I have a question that has been bugging me lately. Why do I see a lot of trucks with the interiors painted body color ? Am I missing some trend or is it a labor thing ? I like seeing the interiors the original Fawn color, apparently many do not like the Fawn color.
Can anyone shine some light on this ? Thanks

I painted my Interior the same as the truck because I think it looks better. But every truck owner has their own opinion. That's why no 2 trucks are the same.

Welcome to the forum! I'm with you, I don't think anything looks as good as the original fawn does. Glossy paint on the interior seems strange to me too, and all the reflections would bother me while driving. I'm about to paint the interior of a '55 International Pickup, and we're adding flattener to the clear to reduce the gloss so it'll have some contrast even though it'll be the same color as the outside.

I went matched body color on mine as it was my first time painting. I figured I had enough to worry about without having to remask and change colors.

If mine had originally been painted fawn I might have considered keeping it, but the early trucks like my 1960 GMC were painted flat silver which I thought looked cheap and ugly, like it had no thought put into it at all.

I'll be keeping my interior paint black - as it was when I originally owned it.
