California Rod And Customs 68 C-10 build

Just posting some pictures of a project that we are building for a customer

Toyota FJ Cruiser 8" headlights with custom headlight buckets




Bumper has been finish welded






Under valance area where the power steering resivoir and coolant overflow are mounted




Inner passenger fender almost done,




Bottom side of the hood


Hidden hinges with gas struts mounted behind the firewall



Valance set on to show dimples for rad cap, and resivoir caps





Handmade new hood peak

Heres the guages and heat/ac controls











Pedals with under dash hydro boost brake master


Heres the drivers seat mounted, all computers/Electronics for the engine, transmission, air ride ect are mounted under the seat. The seat has a release button on the side of the seat base for the hinge set up for easy acess to the wiring. We used gas shocks to hold the seat in the up position

Heres a couple pictures i forgot, The cowl welded on to the cab, the passenger wiper hole has been re located

We took the truck to the World of Wheels show in abbotsford this past weekend, truck took the under construction award.

Heres the turn signal/ park lights on the front


A/C and heater lines going into the cab


We got the hood hinge holes all filled in and made valve cover vent lines



heres the not finished console with the flip up stereo faceplate




shot of the under bed area


rear bumper/ licence plate mount finished


exhaust cutout




rear brake line and fuel line through frame fittings


we notched the bottom of the cab to clear the driveshaft


under passenger seat, engine fuse box, battery shut off and stereo mount


custom battery mount


exhaust over the rear end

Finally some updated pictures for you guys

A few shots of the engine, we painted everything the same coulor and used a flat clear on the drive set up and tops of the valve covers

Let me start off by saying "WOW" the execution and craftsmanship are over the top. That truck will be a show winner for sure. The bumpers fit the 67-68 body lines well... maybe not so much on the 69-72 years. Keep us updated on your project as the pictures of your work are inspiring... to me!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

nice fab work. I love the gas filler.
But you cant drop the tailgate. how are you gonna load kegs in the back of that thing?

Glad to see you made it over from the HAMB board. I hope the link I posted got you over here. The HAMB can be a little rough if you don't meet the traditional pre '65 vehicles.
