Anyone running a RamJet 350?
Curious if anyone on here is using this crate engine.
I am encountering some odd problems with it and am in search of others solutions. |

Re: Anyone running a RamJet 350?
Thanks for the link, although I am trying to find others who drive these on a more regular basis.
I have some specific questions regarding some sensor values and am curious of what altitudes people are running these at. |

There used to be a Cartoon when I was a Kid called "Roger Ramjet". Being as my 1st name IS Roger, ewverone always used to call me that! My Dad always called me "Leo Nomillini" (sp), miss him everyday. (Back to your Regular Programing)

the ramjet uses off the shelf GM sensors. What issues are you having?

Re: Anyone running a RamJet 350?
The major problems I am having are with the MAP and O2 sensors. The MAP will continually throw the DTC 34 Low Voltage warning. The 02 sensor will eventually stop outputting a voltage signal. Replacement sensors have been used in both applications. The replacement sensors were an attempt to bring the computer back within operating parameters. The engine ran better but was still showing signs of an inability to run a normal pulse width.
Per the shop, it looks like the engine thinks it is at sea level and the 02 sensor can only correct 20% towards leaning it back out. Overall the engine is rather lean at idle and overly rich at part throttle. Current plan is to change the gain values of the sensor and create a custom fuel and spark curve. Just curious if anyone else has encountered any issues with this engine and application. |

My 2 cents, make sure are getting the correct 5V ref , Signal and - to MAP....and those values are getting to computer terminal.

Re: Anyone running a RamJet 350?
I know this post is over 2 years old but heres my 2 cents. I know GM came out with an updated ECU, I believe it is the 4th generation ECU for this motor and perhaps they have worked out the kinks. Check with a GM Parts Dealer?
