Opinions on paint scheme
Just wondering what you guys think. Truck will be the original light green color the frame is also the same. What I am unsure on is the color of the inner fender wells and the radiator core support. Would you do it all in the green or fender wells and core support black? I'm leaning toward the fender wells green and the core support black.

Re: Opinions on paint scheme
Since you are going custom you might think about using a dark gray instead of black. It brings a similar contrast but a custom look to the chassis.
Personally I'm not a fan of the monochrome look. It makes vehicles look a Mopar or 1990's Streetrod.

2ND ...A contrasting color, ( dark grey ) would make it pop.

Re: Opinions on paint scheme
I kind of like the same color under the hood.

Re: Opinions on paint scheme
I think he's talking about the outside look. My opinion? Hmmm... Well, I never would have matched the frame to the body color. Since you did, I'd say paint inner fender to match. But that core support needs to be black dark grey whatever, not light green. Not on the front side. The 67/68 grille 'stands out' when the core support 'goes away'. Those two slots look tough when dark and deep looking. But if you want to go '80s mono shorty shorts that's up to you no, just playing around. I won't judge, I promise
I think dark behind the grille will make your green front end pop.

Re: Opinions on paint scheme
Well, I was just giving my honest opinion. I'd rather see everyone do what suits themselves. It's not their job to suit me. I like seeing trucks done different ways. As far as references to the '80s or '90s when monochromatic came on, I think it's been long enough that seeing a retro built focused on that era would be cool to see. We see guys giving retro looks from before their time, like www tires and other '50s cues. I'd like to see a '70 retro custom with trick paint and all the other things that were big customizing trends in that era. Like crushed velvet, etched glass, chromed parts. If I had the money I would already have built a psychedelic era custom.

Re: Opinions on paint scheme
It does look good. But under the hood is not where this conversation is taking place. Those under hood pictures don't show a frame painted body color either. That is where this question stems from. The OP has a truck that he painted the frame body color and he is specifically asking our opinion on how to paint the inner fenders where you see them in the "fender well" and the "core support" where you see it through the grille. Exterior appearance. Under hood is a different chapter in the book.

Re: Opinions on paint scheme
I suggest going dark green for the core support and fender wells. Like VERY dark green. All the advantages of black but a little more interesting.
