Re: how to remove front window?

Remove the lock strip holding it in place, you can then remove the window and then the gasket without damaging it.

Re: how to remove front window?

hope you are talking about the windshield
in the center of the molding that holds the windshield in place
on the exterior there is a thin strip called a lock strip
take an awl or thin screwdriver and pry it up and out
all the way around the windshield . this will loosen up the
seal and should allow you to put firm gentle pressure on the inside of the windshield and push it out of the frame
slow and steady pressure and two sets of hands works best
but have done several by my self
Mark

Re: how to remove front window?

mark said it best but in all honesty it helps alot to have a helper.. i also like to put a heavy rag like a good towel between my hands and the glass for safety sake in case there is a good break in the window

Re: how to remove front window?

ive always stuck the window in the gasket and got that back in the truck wth a string and once its seated then you install the inner lockstrip
