Johnny Lightening.....

Appears to have added another color, a dark Blue, to it's 69 Blazer die cast. I picked this one up from Walmart yesterday. Sorry I forgot to take a picture in the package of it.
Now I have the medium Olive, red and Coke Blazer. Who knows, some day I may get one I fit into :rolleyes.

Re: Johnny Lightening.....

I have never seen anything but the coke ones locally... ALWAYS look... heck, I have only found the red and green stepsides, both the von dutch fleets, and the yellow step in a 5 pack, and the yellow white (top left on your stack) fleet... never seen anything else locally.
In other words... let me know if you come across another blue one.

Re: Johnny Lightening.....

Some time I feel that way to when I go looking for ones I see others talking about. I've gotten lucky on some trips (like today). I'm still trying to find the red one for Krue and keeping my eye out for you too Andy.

Re: Johnny Lightening.....

palf... I'm not sure, but would it have been dib city? That's what I got in my head for the yellow fleet.
For the record, that truck looks better than any of the hot wheels trucks, or the johney lightning blazers.

Could be Andy, it has been awhile since I got those. I just know it wasn't hot wheels, Johnny Lightening or Matchbox.

Re: Johnny Lightening.....

Nice collection Bill.

Here's a package picture. They're finally wising up and using full plastic containers, instead of cardboard for backing. Lot less damage.

The Yellow/white fleetside is a Jada. Packaged as "5 Deep", It might have also said "Old Skool" on the packaging.
I've been trying to find the one right under it, gold or orange with black and the one in the top right hand corner; blue and white.

Re: Johnny Lightening.....

I've been a JL collector for several years, have over 500 cars and trucks now, I love the quality of these things, its my other hobby. Heres a portion of my collection:

They are coming out with a yellow blazer with the top off, look for it in Wal-Mart, Toys R Us and other stores in the next month.

they also make a very nice 64-66 chevy p/u casting, in both fleet and step.

Re: Johnny Lightening.....

I have 2 questions. Where did you get the case for the hallmark ornament truck? I have that one and a few others that size that are collecting dust right now. The other question is, in the middle you have a hot wheels step side that looks blue. is that really the purple one with the color off some in the picture, or is it a blue one? If it's blue, where or when did you get it?

#1...The case came with a Hot Wheels set of 2 cars (my Deoria and Deoria II), but since I had a 3rd Deoria, I used it for the Hallmark decoration and put the Deorias elsewhere.

#2...Yep purple one, flash made it look blue-ish.

Re: Johnny Lightening.....

Dang it, I was hoping for an easy find for cases. Anyone know where to get cases for these mid sized toys, like 1:43 or 1:27 scale?
