Looking for at least one of these in great shape:
Note this is different than the regular chevy "Custom" or "Custom Camper" emblem. Look at the length of the crossbar in the letter t. Thanks to factorystock for posting this pic in another thread! The 2nd photo is the one good one I already have.

I have one that's not real pretty and one of the posts is broken. But,they are rare so if you can't find anything better let me know. I just looked for it to get a picture and it's not with the rest of my collection

Just for more confusion, this is from my 68 brochure. It is hard to tell from the pic, but maybe the handi-van has the same thing? It also shows a 3500 diesel in the pic but i don't think that existed...

I think that would be from a Value-Van. They had a diesel option.

The diesel was, of course, the "Gamma Goat" Detroit Diesel 3-53N producing 82 hp @ 2500 rpm and 193 lb/ft torque @ 1500 rpm, with N40 injectors.

I would think GMC dropped it for 1969, while Chevy continued to catalog for the Step Van through the 1970 model year. I cannot find evidence that the 1971 Step Van cataloged the Gamma Goat.

The only one I ever had was fairly well pitted. I ended up giving it to the guy who has the most complete collection I know of,just because. So...if anyone has a nice one I'll pay more than Vintage Windmills!
