frame ?
ok i have a 71 short wheelbase and the frame in the back where the coils sit is bad i went to a junk yard and found a long wheelbase gmc that had leaf springs that all the leaf spring stuff has been cut off does anyone know if the frame rails are the same as the coils what i had in mind was taking that frame and cutting it down to make a short wheelbase and put my coil spring stuff on it will that work? and advice would be great thanks in advance.

Re: frame ?
i just want my frame fixed so i can make some progress with my truck it is a 71 swb with coils and the frame is shot in the back where the coils sit against the frame im just wanted to lower it and give it a good stance and go from there im planning on building a mostly stock looking stepside with around 400 hp small block and an automatic it will just be used to cruise around in on the weekends.
