Super For Sale (Not Mine)

Just been surfing the web and stumbled across this 71 Cheyenne Super for sale. Sounds like the P/O might have swapped out a few minor parts, but the price does not seem that bad if it is a clean truck and mostly stock. Any of you Super owners out there available seen this one for sale or can offer some constructive criticism on this rig?

Looks nice to me, I think the fact that it's a long bed will kill it for some people, personally I like long beds so i'd drive it. I don't think the price is rediculous but it's more than I would pay.

Re: Super For Sale (Not Mine)

From the pics it looks like it is missing the Tach, was that standard on the Super build or an option?

The tach was an option, not standard on anything.

13K is a lot for a LWB, but if you live in salt-on-the-road, moisture everywhere, every-truck-has-rusty-floor place, maybe not so bad. Nice rig for sure.

What's that bumper from, is that factory?

Re: Super For Sale (Not Mine)

Buying a good CA, AZ, NM, TX truck maybe an option for you...shipping costs on trucks are only like $1,000-$1,500 for that kind of distance, and I bet you'd find a nice rig for $10k in one of those states. Although you'd have to go look at it.

Re: Super For Sale (Not Mine)

Looks to me to be a good price on this one if it is as clean as it looks in the picks. Sure a heck of a lot cheaper than trying to bring one back from the dead.

Tach is something I would eventually want but sure isn't a deal breaker, most likely I would be able to eventually buy an after market or even an old factory tach (For a price) and install it myself.

You read my mind kcjones, after seeing the condition of most the rigs up here, and pricing out a rebuild, I just might be better served purchasing one in the lower 48 and having it shipped up. Problem is I would like to see it in person or at the very least have someone who is trustworthy and knows their way around one of these trucks check it out before dropping any coin.
