Use the board vendors to get your parts

First off Im not a board vendor, so this isnt self serving. Im seeing alot of posts where someone is looking for a part and someone else suggests a vendor that doesnt support the board. This doesnt mean that company is bad, its just that we have a bunch of suppliers that pay fees here to advertise. The fees help keep this board running. Board vendors/suppliers have great prices and products and stand behind their stuff. If you are looking for something at least give our guys first shot.

Re: Use the board vendors to get your parts

I use board vendors for a large number of my new purchases. I like the support I get from GMC Paul's and he is a board vendor, so it's a win/win!

The vendors that support this site are listed at http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...t.php?f=3&a=10 and http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showgroups.php

Re: Use the board vendors to get your parts

IMHO There are a number of board vendors that have excellent parts and especially when I have large part orders to fill I call them up.

Re: Use the board vendors to get your parts

I know this subject all to well. I endure a simular experience, I own a bait and tackle shop and I also am a web site feild editor for a fishing web site for the lake I am on. People are always coming to me for advice when fishing this lake which is very difficult because it is the second deepest in Wisconsin. I decided long ago to keep my tips to myself unless they are spending a few bucks. And my prices are much lower than big chain stores.

Re: Use the board vendors to get your parts

Another thing is that most vendors give board members a discount on large orders.Even though their prices are lower than some to begin with. Also if you have ever had anything shipped you may find that your Board vendors are coming to a show near you where you can pick up your parts and save the shipping.Be sure to call and set it up with them since you want to be sure they have it on the truck.
I've done this several times and it is much more cost effective.

Re: Use the board vendors to get your parts

I've used Manes for my last couple of orders and plan to use them again as I'm just starting my build. Their prices are cheaper than most (believe me, when your poor you shop around), plus they're close so shipping is quick. I have to admit, before I started using them I didn't check to see if they were a vendor, but I'm glad they turned out to be.
