help, axle frame clearance on 6" rear drops
ok for you guys with 6" rear drops on coils spring trucks, how close is your axle to your frame without a c-notch? if its c-notched let me know if its the bolt in type they sell and how much clearance you have.
ive scrapped bagging my truck and i want to go with 6" drop coils and my 2" blocks for total of 8" (yes bed floor is going to be raised) im just wondering if that bolt in c-notch they sell will be enough clearance, i had 2.5" clearance before i took my truck apart and it never bottomed out. |

I have 3.5" from the top of the u-bolts to the bottom of the frame. Less with the bump stops in. If you are going to go with blocks you will need a notch.

F.Y.I. - My truck has the bolt-in c-notch and I rasied my bed floor 1.5". With the axle tube bottomed out on the c-notch (with rubber bumper removed from the notch) the top of the pumPkin clears the bed floor.

if you have a 6" drop with 3.5" clearance than i should have roughly 1.5" clearance with an 8" drop. which isnt enough clearance in my opinion, so custom notch it is or stick with a 7' drop. anyone else have a 6" drop with the c-notch that wants to let me know how much clearance they have roughly? |
