Lug patterns
My brother here is an all around car guy, he's saying something and I was just wondering if his statements were correct. Alright, here goes. Was 71 the first year you could get only five lug on a half ton? I thought that after 68 you could get five lug? In 69, didn't they come out with front discs and convert all disc rotors to five lug? Except 4x4? Could you guys give me some info about it? Thanks

1971 was the first year for 5-lug and front disc brakes. Every 1/2 ton previous to that was 6-lug drums.

Your brother and Southpa speak the truth. At least as far as Chevy/GMC goes. I don't know, don't care about the others!
