67-72 Pick Up Shells-Toppers

I am looking for a shell for my 68 standard long bed. What years and makes will fit? Any one know?

Oh. Ok, Thanks! I did a search on Google for PU shells and although they were all for newer trucks they were all different between makes and models. So I thought I would have to find 68-72 Chevy longbed specific.

Bed width changed in 67. When we took the topper off our 64 and put it on the 68 we had to make it a couple inches wider. Best thing to do is measure.

Re: 67-72 Pick Up Shells-Toppers

I am not certain on the years, but I have run a nice Leer brand fiberglass topper from a 1994 Ford 8ft bed. I have some pictures somewhere, will post them up Monday.
I dont use the topper anymore, so if you dont mind a drive to Rochester, MN I can hook you up with a nice green one!

Re: 67-72 Pick Up Shells-Toppers

Chevy and Ford lengths differ by a couple of inches. 67 thru 88 chevy LWB and SWB will all fit each other. By that i mean all LWB will firt all LWB and all SWB will fit SWB. Like I said the Fords SWB are diffrent as are the Dodges. The LWB are all within an ince to an inch and a half of each other.
