Check out the 8-lug turbines. So when do you pick it up Sin?

Re: CL find, SoCal
I'd love to, but I think I'm gonna try and finish the '69 for now. Still looking around though.

Re: CL find, SoCal
That's what I plan to do with my C10. lift it with big BFGs. $1,000 is good but the fact that he only says it "runs" makes me skeptical about how well it runs and if it is even really driveable. I suspect it barely runs and everything else is probably junk. If it ran well enough to drive it, he would have listed it for more than $1,000.

Yeah, you're looking at $1000 start to a $20,000 project. Not such a bad thing, especially if you're starting with something that even "slightly" runs... You just can't expect to pick it up and drive it 1000 miles a month right out of the hole...

I don't know sometimes there are good deals out there. I got mine for $1200 and drove it home from San Diego.

Re: CL find, SoCal
I got mine for around the same price, and have been driving it daily ever since....not a speck of rust, not a dent, and all original paperwork. You never know until you go and look. Those wheels alone are worth $400-$500 on that rig.

Re: CL find, SoCal
Check for rust! If it's pretty rust free it's a great deal even if the motor is shot. If it's a rust bucket, I would think twice. Just my $.02

If someone buys it, I'll buy the wheels from you!! My 71/68 2wd to 4X4 Burb could use those as I am switching to 8-lug all around!

it may run and drive great... no tellin .
I figured one of you Cali guys woulda picked up on the possible deal breaker... How long have the plates been expired? You guys should automaticly pick up on that, back fees can kill the sweetest deal unless you title it in another state. |
